Fresh. Yummy. Quick and reasonably priced. This was the best meal from my trip to LA! This is more of a locals restaurant but everyone should go. Big recommendations! Mmmm

I really like this sushi place. Great sushi and rolls. I tried a rice bowl w egg and chicken on top. It was not appealing to me. Bland taste and too much juice in the rice. We also ordered the Sakuri and sweet & spicy roll. They were very good. The rice bowl was the first item I have ordered from here that I did not like.

We have been coming to Akai Hana for over a decade when it was named "Shien of Osaka". Everything is so fresh and delicious, and the service is great. Monday night special is our current favorite roll, so unique and tastes amazing. Don't forget to use the 20% off valpak coupon for dine in dinners only. For the best experience try sitting at the bar and let Nakamura San work his magic!

Fiss was fantastic. The restaurant was very clean. Everything separated for physical freelancing. Veggie tempura was phenomenal.

Busy diner atmosphere. It seems like a lot of the glowing reviews were left by loyal patrons who have been coming here for years. Ordinary sushi. Price was average. The table was clean but our server was sniffling non-stop. We asked about ponzu for the cold tofu and she said "no ponzu!". A bit overrated when you compare to other sushi restaurants with the same rating on Google Maps.

Great service and awesome sushi. Still has outdoor seating available and it's a great place to go for sushi or other Japanese dishes. Miso soup is great and comes with entrees.Sushi rolls were fresh tasting and well rolled and the servers were very friendly and answered all questions we had. Good atmosphere, highly recommend.

In honor of the new Reiwa Era I sat at the sushi bar and went Omakase. The nigiri sushi was wonderful.

Mr.Nakamora is the best! If you love sushi, Nigiri, soup you need not look any further. This is the secret spot and location of the BEST we have ever had. We always love watching him use his talent to make mouth watering treats😁 the Secret menu is something to look into as well. We Always love to visit and we are treated like family by the staff as well.

We always enjoy dining here. The food tastes great and so is the service. The menu changed recently but there are still lots of choices. I enjoy lamb and it's tender here. My wife said the tandoori salmon was tasty.

How many times can one enjoy Akai Hana's sushi? Well from where we sit, not enough. Herosan's creations are not only the freshest available, he loves to tempt you palate with various flavors. Often we're in conversation, and may not be aware of his newest dish, and are always surprised with the subtleties we soon taste.

Akai Hana is the place to go for sushi around Rancho Bernado and near by areas. They offer wide varieties of rolls, sashimi, and cooked dishes. Nabeyaki noodle soups and beef teriyaki are great in addition to most rolls and sashimi. Staff are always nice and friendly.

We have eaten at many Sushi Restaurants in San Diego and none have even come close to the quality and authenticity of Akai Hana!

They serve good food here!

Long time favorite. Lunch specials are a great deal and a lot of food for lunch. But I always clean my plate. Staff is great, service gets you out of there in a lunch hour. Somehow we always linger a bit longer.

Great prices, but slow service

The hostess was extremely friendly and welcoming even during the busier hour of the day. The food was fine overall and served quickly. I wished the Katau don was less dry and the menu had more variety. My friend, who doesn’t eat Japanese cuisine often, on the other hand was impressed by the teriyaki salmon.

This is among the best sushi, not just in San Diego, but anywhere! Make sure to sit at the sushi bar and have either Mr Nakamura or Hiro

Great food. Misu souo and the soring rolls were very good. Try the green tee bonbon ice cream!

The sushi here is out of this world! Well actually it's just out of this country, which is a much better thing. The owner is from Japan and has brought his trade and skills to Rancho Bernardo. I have been to a lot of sushi places in the states and Akai Hana is as close as it gets to delicious Japanese sushi. A must have if you're a sushi fan.
